Hin und zurück
Hin und zurück (Return) portraits those Mexican men that migrated to USA and that after the years decided to return. The reasons why they decided to go back to Mexico are different, some of them decided to return because of the economical crisis in USA, others decide to go back to their families having the expectation to start a new life again in their country of origin. Rodríguez focuses on the concept of expectations, aiming to know the expectations people had about returning home.

Rodríguez's "Photographic Films" were produced as slow motion film, she uses the format of photography and the language of film to create a new art of portrait. Rodríguez's intention is to create a contemplative image, the passing of time becomes the language of the portrait. The portraits invite the viewer to stand still and listen to the stories every person has to tell, also to focus in the minimal details of movement that appear within the image.
